Accessibility Statement
Centurion Services Ltd is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. This statement explains how we approach accessibility, where we currently stand, and how to get in touch if something isn’t working for you.
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to find information about our plant hire, vehicle hire, property and building supplies, and to contact us easily. We aim to meet recognised accessibility standards and to keep improving the experience for people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech recognition and keyboard-only navigation.
How accessible this website is
We have designed this website with accessibility in mind. Among other things, we aim to:
- Use clear, plain language and a logical page structure with proper headings.
- Maintain sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
- Support keyboard navigation and visible focus states.
- Provide meaningful text alternatives for images and icons where they convey information.
- Respect the “reduce motion” setting in your operating system or browser, so animations are turned off if you prefer.
- Allow text to be resized in the browser without loss of content or functionality.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They have three levels: A, AA and AAA. This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA. Some content may not yet fully meet this standard; where we are aware of issues, we are working to fix them (see “Known limitations” below).
Measures we take
To help make this website accessible, Centurion Services Ltd:
- Considers accessibility as part of the design and build of new pages and features.
- Uses semantic HTML and ARIA attributes where appropriate.
- Tests key pages with keyboard navigation and automated accessibility checks.
- Reviews this statement and the site periodically as content changes.
Compatibility
This website is designed to work with current versions of the major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari) on desktop and mobile, and with commonly used assistive technologies. It should also work with the built-in accessibility features of iOS and Android. If you use an older browser or assistive technology, some features may not work as expected.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some limitations may remain. We are aware that:
- Some photography is still being added, and placeholder images may not yet carry full descriptive alternative text.
- Third-party content, such as embedded forms and maps, may not fully meet our accessibility target.
- Some older documents (for example PDFs) may not be fully accessible.
If you encounter a problem that is not listed here, please tell us — see below.
